HISTORY OF OUR BUSINESS
Our Story
Skerritt Group's business founder was Alan Skerritt, a well-respected Financial Planner who had a long history in superannuation, life insurance, and financial planning.
In 1985 "The Alan Skerritt Consultancy" was established to provide Superannuation Administration services to clients.
Proof of the success of our operation is that many of the original and long-standing clients are still with us today. These clients have referred many new clients to us over the years.
In 2013 we changed our business name to "Skerritt Superannuation", a name which reflects our focus on Self Managed Superannuation.
For the last two decades, Alan Skerritt's daughter, Andrea Skerritt, has headed up the management of the SMSF administration operation.
Andrea is an Accountant, Tax Agent, qualified SMSF Auditor, and Financial Planner, and accredited with top marks in Australia for "Retirement Principles" and "Taxation".
Andrea is a Specialist SMSF Auditor and Financial Planner with the SMSFA (Self Managed Super Fund Association)
Although Skerritt Superannuation is a Brisbane-based operation, we have clients throughout Australia.
Our super fund clients hold a variety of investment portfolios. Many hold portfolios of direct shares and Managed Funds, whilst others hold commercial property, rental properties, and use investment platforms for their portfolios.
Fund values range from about $200,000 to balances in excess of $5 million.
